James joined SignHealth in 2016 and has worked in the charity sector since 2001, including a variety of roles at Scope and the NSPCC. James is a trustee of the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group. James is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and a Leadership Fellow at the Society of Leadership Fellows at the College of St George at Windsor Castle. James was awarded an OBE for services to Deaf people in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours 2022.

Thandi Mtetwa

Director of People and Finance

Thandi joined SignHealth in January 2023; she has over 15 years of experience across a broad range of charities and non-for-profit organisations.  At SignHealth she is responsible for strategic development of our People and Finance departments. She brings her pragmatic approach to solving problems and vast experience in driving organisational development.

Christopher Reid

Director of Operations

Christopher joined SignHealth in January 2019. Prior to starting, he worked for local authorities and clinical commissioning groups for over 25 years in both operational and commissioning roles. This involved managing and delivering sensory services, commissioning of physical and sensory disabilities, learning disabilities and older people services. At SignHealth he is responsible for the strategic development of operations, as well as the day-to-day running of services. Christopher is also the Designated Safeguarding Officer for the Charity.

Lucy Warnes

Director of Communications and Fundraising

Lucy joined SignHealth in September 2022 and has over twenty five years’ marketing and fundraising experience in various charities. Lucy is also an active member of the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. At SignHealth, Lucy is responsible for the development and implementation of the communications plan and fundraising strategy. Stacey Witter

Director of Campaigns

Stacey has worked in the voluntary sector for over 10 years specialising in communications and organisational transformation. At SignHealth, Stacey is responsible for leading our work in campaigns, policy and public affairs to strengthen the Deaf community and work in partnership to influence change.
