Public Health England in partnership with the NHS have launched the national “Act F.A.S.T.” campaign, which raises awareness of the signs of stroke and encourages people to call 999 immediately if they recognise any symptoms of stroke in themselves or others.

Carry out the F.A.S.T. test.

Face: is there weakness on one side of their face?

Arms: can they raise both arms?

Speech: is their speech slurred?

Time: to call 999.
