Our domestic abuse team will be hosting different events to educate health professionals and the Deaf community about gender-based violence.
SignHealth is also partnering with the White Ribbon campaign calling on all men to make the promise and play a part in ending violence against women and girls.

YPVA Takeover Day
| As part of our 16 days agenda, SignHealth’s YPVA team has taken over our Instagram page to share some exclusive content about gender-based violence, with interesting conversations, short scenarios and lots of information in BSL for young deaf women and girls. The topics covered during the takeover day included sexting, forced marriage, coercive control, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and bullying in the young LGBTQ+ Deaf community. SignHealth invites Deaf survivors to Parliament
On November 30, SignHealth’s Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Abigail Gorman, accompanied four Deaf domestic abuse survivors to Parliament, where they shared their experiences to help MPs review the government’s previous strategy relating to violence against women and girls.
