SignHealth’s Domestic Abuse Service is proud to have earned SafeLives’ Leading Lights accreditation.
What is Leading Lights?
The accreditation programme offers services, partner agencies and commissioners a set of standards for supporting victims of domestic abuse. The programme was launched in 2009 by SafeLives and many services have been offered coaching, workshops and assessment.
The Leading Lights quality mark helps us demonstrate that SignHealth is providing the most effective response and keeping victims and survivors safe. Only 50 domestic abuse services have received this accreditation in the UK.
Our domestic abuse team and the wider organisation worked so hard to achieve this. We updated our policies and changed our practices to ensure better case management. The changes will help us to improve our service for the Deaf community, support better ways of working together and open new funding opportunities.
